North Warwickshire and South Leicestershire College
North Warwickshire and South Leicestershire College (NWSLC) is a large Further Education college that offers a wide range of full-time, part-time, Higher Education and Apprenticeship programmes over five campuses based in Nuneaton, South Wigston, Hinckley, Harrowbrook and MTI. The College also provides training to employers.
Our aim is to make sure you get the most out of your time at College. That’s why we have a number of services in place to make sure you reach your full potential. We also have services in place to help students who need extra support to achieve their qualification, whether it is behavioural, financial, emotional or physical support.
Our Safeguarding Team are always present on campus to make sure you enjoy your study and leisure time in a safe environment.
Counselling services are available to any student at the College. Sessions are available at the Nuneaton and Hinckley Campuses and other Campuses on request. Get in touch with us for more information.
What makes us different?
We’re delighted that more than 90% of our students aged between 16 and 18 progress on to positive destinations after achieving their qualifications.
Last year, 86% of students were on track with their studies by the end of the year, with 70% achieving at or above their target grades.
As a school leaver, you will join either a classroom-based Study Programme, or an Apprenticeship, which allows you to earn while you learn. Both routes provide a complete learning experience designed to maximise your career prospects, introduce you to employers, and widen opportunities for further study at college or university.
We operate according to the values of respect, honesty and kindness, reflected through the generosity, care and compassion of our staff and students.
Our community is diverse and we regularly get involved in helping to support many charities and local organisations.
We actively promote competitions and encourage students to compete, particularly as part of WorldSkills UK, which culminates each year in a national live event at the NEC to showcase the very best in young UK talent. I am delighted that this year we have 19 students in the UK National Final. The most successful students go on to compete on a global stage with the next international competition due to take place in Kazan, Russia in 2019.
Whatever your starting point, we will make sure that you have the knowledge, skills and support you need to progress in your studies and make a successful start to your career.
