This course prepares you to work with children and their families in a variety of settings and environments within the Early Years sector. The course will build and develop the necessary practical skills and understanding to give you a firm grounding in the principles of children's care for progression into employment or higher-level education. You will attend a variety of settings arranged by the college to fulfil the 750 hours required placement hours.

Understanding Children's Additional Needs;
Observation, Assessment, and Planning
Entry requirements are 4 GCSE at Grade C/4 or above or a relevant Level 2 qualification. Must include English GCSE at C/4.
Your next steps...
If successful, there are a variety of potential careers that you can explore as the qualification enables you to apply for employment in a supervisory capacity, for example as an Early Years Practitioner in a nursery, school setting or hospital. It is also possible for you to progress into careers that require further training as the qualifications hold a maximum of 168 UCAS points. This includes Higher Education further afield or within NWHC e.g. Foundation Degree in Early Years.
