Overview

This course will teach you about health, safety and environmental issues faced on construction sites, and how to communicate with others on the job. You will also gain a range of practical skills specific to site carpentry, including how to carry out first fix flooring and roofing, how to carry out first fix frames, partitions and stairs, how to carry out second fixing operations including skirting and architrave, how to carry out carpentry maintenance, and how to set up and operate a circular saw.

2 GCSEs at Grade D/3 or above in English and Maths OR Level 1 Carpentry and Joinery and Level 1 Functional Skills.
