Overview

This course provides the ideal introduction to the construction industry allowing students to learn, develop and practice skills in the following construction trades: bricklaying, carpentry and joinery, plastering, painting and decorating and plumbing with a view to continuing learning in a particular trade or developing into a maintenance operative role.

The introduction to bricklaying, plastering, plumbing, decorating and civil engineering give students the basis for entering a career in any of these areas.

Students who complete this course may wish to progress onto a higher level course, or an apprenticeship. They may also wish to progress directly into a career within the industry.
