This course will be well suited to individuals with a keen interest in sport. Individuals wishing to take this course should have two sports which they play on a regular basis.
Any person can take A-level PE providing they possess:
1. A genuine interest in Physical Education and sport
2. A positive and hardworking attitude
3. At least 5 GCSEs at grade C or above including English Language.
Total A Level content is 70% theory assessment and 30% practical assessment (15% practical assessment and 15% coursework task in the form of a verbal analysis of performance).

20% of total A Level grade 1 hour exam
• Sport and Society
• Contemporary issues in physical activity and sport
Practical Assessment 30% (of total A Level grade)
Candidates are assessed in one activity on their effectiveness in their performance and also a verbal evaluation of another performer in a game situation.
6 grade 5s (or equivalent), including at least a grade 5 in English Language or Literature.
At least a 5 in the relevant subject if taken.
