This course gives the learner an insight into basic brickwork and an understanding of the construction industry. This will range from selecting, ordering and the use of materials, mainly in brickwork but also to a lesser degree across the industry. Practical sessions will start with very basic brickwork leading to an end practical test involving solid brick walls and cavity walls. Health and safety will be a big part of the qualification and a basic understanding of Maths and English is required. The course consists of seven units. These are split into two parts one part knowledge and one skill. At the end of each unit there will be at test to show your understanding of that unit and there will be a final exam to prove general understanding of the course.
