Overview
Students will learn through a variety of teaching methods with teacher-led lessons. Students will produce individual projects and assignments involving research which students will be expected to work on their own account. Homework is a regular feature. Law is taught in a well-resourced subject base with the most up-to-date materials and ICT facilities.
Details
This course consists of three units:
- Unit 1 - An introduction to the English Legal System
- Unit 2 - An introduction to police powers and procedures
- Unit 4 - An introduction to criminal law and procedure
How will it be delivered?
This course is 100% coursework and is graded PASS or FAIL. You must complete an assignment for each unit. Completing and passing this course will enable you to achieve a Level 2 qualification equivalent to 1 GCSE at Grade C/4.
Entry requirements
As part of a Level 2 programme a minimum of 5 grade Ds or 3s at GCSE, or equivalent, including English Language.
