The City and Guilds level 1 and 2 Computer Maintenance course focuses primarily on computer hardware. Students are taught to develop their practical and academic knowledge in computing with a variety of tasks designed to be informative and enjoyable. Students will learn about the main components that are used to build a computer and the every problems faced by all aspiring technicians.
Basic Principles of Networking;
Installing, configuring and testing ICT Networks;
Basic Principles of an ICT System and Data Security;
Basic Maintenance ICT equipment and systems;
Introduction to Testing ICT systems;
Introduction to Customer services
Entry requirements are 4 GCSE at Grade D/3 or above or a relevant Level 1 qualification.

The progression from this course includes working in industry as a trainee technician or going on to a place at Level 3.
