Overview

This programme has a broad base, which enables learners to gain understanding, knowledge and skills across the diverse range of graphic design disciplines. The course comprises a teaching and learning partnership, study is fully supported through tutorials and tutor review to facilitate individual skill development. Learners are equipped with professional graphic practices to develop a portfolio of work to support progression on the Extended Diploma Second Year, higher education or employment.

Packaging: Typographic Design: Advertising: Corporate Identity: Information Graphics: Illustration and Photography: Learners also study a contextual studies unit: Participation into local, National and World competitions.

Entry requirements

Applicants should be 16+ at entry with a minimum of four GCSEs at grade C/4 or above, or any other relevant qualification. A portfolio of work showing evidence of creativity and imagination is required at interview.

Your next steps...

You can progress on to the second year of an Extended Diploma, with the aim to then progress on to higher programmes of study both within the College or at university, or gain employment within the graphics industry.
