What is A-level French? It is a subject in which the emphasis is placed on a language work, where you will continue to build upon the skills already acquired at GCSE. The language is studied through the medium of Cassettes, videos and written texts, covering a range of topics.
The standard offer for all A level programmes is 5 subject passes at Grade 5.This must include English Language and Maths. For some subjects such as Further Maths ,Science and psychology, there will be additional requirements.
You could take this course to complement other advanced level courses or to prepare for the A2 in French, which could lead onto higher education in French, other languages or more general higher education courses. With further training, you could go into a job related to languages such as a Teacher or Translator, or you may wish to use your French to study or work over in France. The qualification will also help you develop general skills that many employers across lots of industries are looking for.
